The perimeter of Paxos and Antipaxos is like a lacy work of art, making it a must for every visitors to take a tour of the island by boat.
The beaches (“spiantzes”), most of which are small in size and pebbly, have clean translucent waters. The most impressive are those of Gianna, Soulanenas, Balou, Agia Marina at Mogonissi, Kloni Gouli, Kamini, Kaki Lagada, Alati, Kipiadi, Marmari, Levrehio, Glyfada, Monodendri, Arkoudaki, Orkos, Kanoni, Harami (sandy beach), Ahai, Avlaki Galazio and on Antipaxos, the clear, turquoise water and sandy beaches of Vrika & Voutoumi, popular yet idyllic, as well as the pebbly deserted beaches of Rodovani and Sarakiniko.
Moggonisi beach is located on the islet of the same name and is actually one of the few that are sandy on the entire island. It has beautiful clear blue crystal waters that attract visitors. The beach is organized with deckchairs and umbrellas, it also has a restaurant. It is also a favorite destination for those who own a boat.
Manadendri beach, a very beautiful and organized beach, is located in the south of Lakka! It is a large pebbly coast with crystal clear waters and one of the busiest on the island. It has beach bars that offer free umbrellas and sunbeds to their customers, as well as restaurants for food. Finally, there are facilities for water sports.
Kaki Lagada beach is located a little south of Gaios. It is a wonderful pebble beach surrounded by rocks. The main road runs past the beach, so access is very easy. It has gravel, both around the coast and in the sea. The water is blue and transparent. There is parking right behind the beach. This beach is not organized.
Harami beach is located in the northern part of the island. It is one of the two beaches of Lakka. It is inside the village next to the Cannon. It has crystal clear and shallow waters and is suitable for families with children. You can comfortably enjoy your bath or do water sports. It has a restaurant and umbrellas – sunbeds. Access to the beach is by boat or by walking from Lakka.
Levrechio beach is located a 5-minute walk from the Loggo settlement, on the eastern coast of Paxos. It is a small organized beach with white pebbles and crystal clear waters. At Levrechio beach there is a restaurant where you can enjoy your coffee or food.
Kamini beach is located north of Gaios. It is a beautiful pebbly beach with turquoise waters. It is very easily accessible and only 10 minutes by car from the capital of the island. Kamini beach is organized with a beach bar, sunbeds and umbrellas.
Vrika beach, a fantastic place for swimming, is located in Antipaxos. It is sandy with crystal blue waters. It has an impressive blue color which is due to the soft white sand. The seabed around the coast is shallow, which makes it suitable for children as well. It is also organized as it has two taverns where anyone who wishes can enjoy fresh food, sunbeds and umbrellas. There is a small cave on the north side of the beach that you should definitely visit.
Voutoumi beach is the largest of Antipaxi. It is one of the most famous beaches of the island. The arrival in Voutoumi takes just 10 minutes by ferry taxis. The beach in question has smooth white pebbles around the shore which are replaced by fine white sand in the water. The white sand gives the sea an amazing blue color even on cloudy days. It has two taverns, sunbeds and umbrellas.
The pebbly beach “Kloni Gouli” is located very close to the northern part of Gaios at a distance of about 10 minutes by car. The beach is not organized. It is easily accessible by car and has a parking space.
Kipiadi beach is the largest and one of the most beautiful of Paxos. It is located at a distance of 7 kilometers from the capital, Gaios, in dense vegetation. The coast has pebbles and the sea has a wonderful blue-green color. It is considered necessary to have an umbrella, water and food with you while staying at the beach as it does not have any of these. Access to the beach is easy.
Orkos beach is a quiet beach located on the north side of the island, near Lakka. It is a beautiful beach with clear blue waters and white pebbles. It is relatively easily accessible, walking for 10 minutes along a comfortable path. There are no restaurants or cafes on the beach, so if you want to stay a little longer, take food and water with you.
Marmari beach located 5 kilometers north of Gaios is a quiet and unspoiled pebble beach. It is only 750m away. from Longos, one of the most beautiful villages of Paxos. The beach is easily accessible. It is not organized and does not have any tourist infrastructure, so it is good to have water and food with you.
Erimitis beach is the newest beach in Paxos. It was created in the center of the western side of the island in 2008, due to the landslide caused by the earthquake. With the collapse of the rock, a small beautiful beach was created, offering at the same time a wild and imposing landscape!
Planos beach is a rocky beach with wild beauty. It has large pebbles and flat rocky shores. The space is suitable for isolation and sunbathing. Even though this beach is not suitable for swimming, many people are fascinated by the view of the sunset that they go to see from that point. Planos is accessible via an unpaved road that starts from the outskirts of Lakka.
